With less than eleven games to go till the end of the season,
Championship clubs are scrambling to loan in new players and extend
loan deals in the hope of making it to the play-off spots and move
clear of the drop zone.

League leaders Queen’s Park Rangers have agreed a few to sign Wayne
Routledge on a permanent deal from Newcastle United. The winger joined Neil Warnock’s side in January and has scored two goals in eight
appearances so far.

Cardiff City have solved their keeper crisis by signing Stephen
Bywater on loan from Derby till the end of the season. Bywater has a
24-hour recall clause in his contract which would require him to go
back to Derby at short notice if need be. Cardiff have also signed
Jason Brown from Blackburn Rovers on a one-month loan and he will
battle it out against Bywater for the goalkeeper’s position.

Nowich, on the other hand, suffered a setback of sorts when Robbie
Blake refused to join them on loan. The 34-year-old former Burnley
star is way behind in the pecking order at Bolton but has decided to
stay at the Reebok Stadium and fight for his place, instead of making
a switch to the Championship.
